Psalm 91 verse 11-16

No disaster will come near your tent.

For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

"Because He loves me," says the Lord,"I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

"He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Psalm 91

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you make the Most High your dwelling- even the Lord, who is my refuge- than no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

PSALM 91

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust."

Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare.

and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;

His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Psalm 91

Psalm 91
This psalm speaks to my heart of the ongoing protection from God, for those that love the Lord! Pray that the folks that we reach out to in prayer and in song will have the protection given to a believer- That nothing can harm a child of God except when God is aware; Therefore if God is aware…God is in control and what have we to worry when that is the case!

So please pray for the folks that have come to the Wednesday 10:30 a.m. Bible Study/Singing Sessions- Some of the folks are only there for one visit, some folks have moved due to illness to a rehabilitation center, some have moved to we do not know where. We often do not get a second or third chance to visit with them.

Bessie and Betty are now off our list for nametags…so let us keep them in our prayers. Charlene was put into the hospital and since moved to a facility that can give her more round the clock care and pray for her safe return.

This is by no means is any reason to doubt what we are doing…Today we were delighted to welcome Louise to our time on Wednesdays- She has only been at the home for two weeks and because this is an adjustment for her she had a guest…the pastor from her Baptist church Paul who stayed and enjoyed our time of prayer and songs.

Nan came in and though she is Louise’s new friend this was her 1st time in with us. There was Barbara, Jane and Francis and Dorothy…All new this week to our group.

Beyond that we should pray for those that did come that have been in week in and week out, David, Evelyn, Esther, Millie and Sharon.

The are others that have been able to come in prior weeks…Arlene, Crystal, Dorothy, Don, Gladys, Geneve, Helen, Ina, Joanne, Joyce and Joe Joe and his aid Maggie. Lois, Lynn, Marty, Maria, Mary and the other Mary- Rose, Regina.

Pray that others in our reach at this home will trust God and His salvation.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILLIE

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILLIE

The word is Millie turned 97 and today we were able to sing Happy Birthday to her! Millie loves to sing and will show up wherever there is singing involved. I do believe all the singing she does has kept her very young. I hate to even publish this as I would like to reconfirm that she is 97…I never would have guessed she was even remotely in her 90’s…for that matter in her 80’s she is so light hearted and just a real joy- Plus as I have said before, “She knows ALL the words to all the songs!” The fact is Peter and I depend quite a bit on her knowing the song. If Millie does not know the song we do not even put it on the list of songs to sing! WAY TO GO MILLIE!

Show me the way...

Today's verse....I'm not an Eagle...but...

Isaiah 40:31
Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up like eagles with wings of great length, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint, He gives strength to the weary and power to His saints.

AGAPE FLIGHTS...from a Volunteer...Thanks

What is a volunteer…We all know what a volunteer is- But have you ever been in the company of so many volunteers at once? I had the pleasure of meeting many of the Agape Volunteers Thursday, March 25, 2010 due to a special lunch for Agape Volunteers…

Presented by AGAPE FLIGHTS , catered by Angelo's on Venice Avenue, and sponsored by the wildly fantastic staff. The staff volunteered their time and talent using their organizational skills to transfigure the AGAPE HANGAR to the perfect place for the luncheon. The transformation was preformed by the staff with centerpieces, tablecloths, flowers, music and prayers- And a host of other details... The staff cleaned, directed parking, took photos, mailed invitations and their RSVP's...Met and greeted the volunteers with a special "ice-breaker" name tag game. Every "I" was dotted and "T" was crossed to make sure the volunteers felt thanked and felt part of the Agape Family. The staff worked hard to thank the volunteers and their guests for their gift of time during the Haiti Disaster 2010.

But I would like to say to the AGAPE STAFF, Members and Board of Directors!

Thank You!

Dick for your kind and humble leadership-
Carole and Amy for your attention to detail-
Lance for your expertise and patience and Lynn for your steadfast humor and grace-Karen and Jennifer for your emphatic professional and helpful manor-
Carol Ann for your ever present smile and helping hand-
Jeff for your perseverance and faithfulness-
Mark for your patience and fortitude-
Kevin for your grace under fire-
Greg for your decisive expertise-
And Luke...for your faith to move you and your family during a hectic time.
I am but one of the newcomers and I am positive I have missed some or many of those that have worked ever so hard in the mission of Agape Flights...
I hope to meet you soon.

What I have said about each of the above staff members...I could have said in two words...WELL DONE!
The thing that stands out the most to me (as an onlooker) is the Team Work ! Your love of Jesus Christ shines through each of the staff members that I have met at Agape! Praise the Lord...

I am so happy, I have had the honor to serve beside leaders that illustrate the love of Christ with such distinction. God Bless You and Your Families!

PS. I know there is heart ache and sorrow...but hope is alive and well and spirits are high at Agape Flights!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank YOU AGAPE FLIGHTS…for going out of your way to make sure the volunteers are comfortable!
Thank you, AGAPE…for all that you do for the missionary families whom you support. And because of the loving way you consider your mission, I know I can speak for many of the volunteers when I say, “We are fortunate to meet so many caring and committed Christians at Agape Flights!”
